Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
  • Leave Kampala at 07:00 and head northwards along Gulu highway. We shall have healthy break for areas of convenience, local markets for the seasonal tropical fruits and at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a rhino tracking session and continue our journey to Murchison falls National Park, the home of the vigorous Murchison falls and wildlife.
 
  • Have lunch enroute, go for an evening game drive on arrival. You will come across lions and leopards on a lucky day, hyenas, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, birds among others. Visit the hippo pool where you find schools of hippos playing and relaxing under the beautiful sunset.
 
  • Retire at our lodge for overnight.
  Day 2: Game drive, Boat cruise and hiking Top of the Falls.
  • After breakfast at the lodge, go for an early morning guided game drive where you will have a fulfilling experience. Get a chance to see even more wild animals, those you might have missed in the previous one. More antelopes, monkeys, warthogs, waterbucks the list continues.
 
  • Then go for a 2–3-hour boat cruise to the bottom of the falls on the R.Nile. Enjoy beautiful sceneries and cool breezes as you have mote of wildlife. Birders are in for a treat, various species of the heron, egrets, fish eagle, piak piak among others. Schools of hippos are seen hiding in the water, from the scorching sun. Nile Crocodiles, Elephants quenching their thirst and much more await. Reach the bottom of the vigorous Murchison falls, the strongest in the whole world.
 
  • Alternatively, hike to the top of the falls from this point. You will be rewarded with all angles of the waterfalls before you reach the top, which is home to the beautiful rainbow. Go back to the lodge for a lunch, relax and later on embark on a community walk. Visit the Alur tribe in Mobuku, just North of Murchison Falls National Park. Have a one-on-one with them and understand how they live. Retire at the lodge after dinner.
  Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Game drive.
  • After breakfast, check out and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park located in Kasese district via Hoima-Kyenjojo. Have lunch in Fort Portal and continue to Kasese, checking in on arrival. Then visit the only salt mining lake in Uganda, Lake Katwe for a short briefing on how to extract the salt. On your way back to the hotel, stop by the newly renovated, beautiful and scenic Kikorongo equator monument for a photographic session and relaxing.
  • Go for a night game drive in the Kasenyi sector to look out for the big cats and other nocturnal. Retire at the lodge at the end of the day.
  Day 4: Game drive, boat cruise, community visit and Community Walk
  • After breakfast, go for an early morning game drive to see the animals as they get out of their slumbers. Then go for a community visit to the Basongola. They live around park communities. You might get entertained with a cultural dance performance. Donate to promote sustainable tourism.
  • Return to the lodge for lunch and then embark on a guided boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. Have a glance at aquatic life like hippos, Nile crocodiles, various bird species.
 
  • Go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
  Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi, Great Lakes Museum
  • After breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Kabale/Kisoro with a stop at the Great lakes museum (though the route depends on the sector of trekking the gorillas). Dive into the history and culture of the Kigezi region illustrated in objects, paintings, art and craft pieces. After, have lunch on the premises and continue to Bwindi. Check in on arrival and relax for the rest of the evening, warming up for our long-awaited gorilla trekking experience.
  Day 6: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Community
  • After the early morning breakfast, head to the UWA offices to report entry at 6:00am with a nicely packed delicious lunch and enough refreshments (drinking water for hydration) for a briefing by 7:30am. You will be assigned a gorilla family and then start the long-anticipated trek. When you meet these gentle giants, you will spend an hour with them, take photos (no flash light) and videos as much as you can.
 
  • After, relax at the lodge, freshen up and warm up for the Batwa cultural visit. Indulge in a rich cultural experience with traditional music and dance performances that you can take part in as well. This will also give a coffee experience (seed, garden to table). Learn about how they have survived being constantly displaced out of their habitat. What they eat and how they sleep. Alternatively, you might as well do some donation to support them.
  Day 7: Transfer to Kampala.
  • Have breakfast and start our journey back to Kampala with lunch en-route, arriving in the evening.
