Day 1: Transfer to Kitgum, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Aruu falls.
- Have an early morning breakfast and immediately embark on our adventurous journey towards the North along Gulu highway. First stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary located in Nakasongola for rhino trekking. Continue northwards and have a sumptuous meal for lunch on arrival in Gulu town.
- After, we visit the breathtaking Aruu falls, 40km away from Gulu town. We will witness lush greenery during the nature walk blended with rich political and cultural history and beliefs. Overnight at a hotel in Kitgum.
Day 2: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park and Evening game drive
- Head to Kidepo Valley National Park, check in on arrival. Have lunch, relax.
- Go for an evening game drive in the Narus Valley. Have a glimpse of various wild animals like elusive and solitary leopards on a lucky day, giraffes, elephants, ostriches among others while they quench their thirst on the Narus river. The picturesque scenery is fascinating.
Day 3: Game drive and Community visit
- Have an early morning game drive to get a fulfilling experience. Watch the wild animals gather at the Narus valley to quench their morning thirst, then return to the lodge for lunch.
- Have lunch at the lodge and head out for a cultural immersion tour of the Karimojong, a primitive yet interesting and hospitable community. Enjoy a cultural dance performance from the locals. Listen to their interesting stories
Day 4: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park and a visit to Fort Patiko
- After the finger licking breakfast, check out and move to Murchison falls National Park. Murchison is the largest National Park in Uganda. It is known for the most powerful waterfalls in the world. Visit Fort Patiko en-route, a historical gem that was significant during the colonial period.
- Have lunch enroute and wind up the day with an evening game drive. Check in, relax, have dinner and retire for the night.
Day 5: Game drive, Boat cruise, Top of the falls hike.
- After breakfast, go for an early morning game drive to have more of the flora and fauna of Murchison falls National Park. Then go for a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. Catch a glimpse of various aquatic animals like hippos, waterbucks, Nile crocodiles and so many bird species like the heron and egret among others. On arrival to the bottom of the falls, hike to the top with views of all angles. You'll be welcomed by a strong water splash from the vigorous Murchison falls. A rainbow always awaits.
- After this beautiful experience, head back to the lodge for refreshment and lunch. If still interested we can move out for an evening game drive.
Day 6: Community walk, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
- After breakfast, checkout and go for a community walk around the Mobuku community, Alur tribe. Learn about their culture, history and lifestyle. Continue our journey heading towards Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stop in Hoima town for a health break and fuel top up. Resume our journey via Kyenjojo. Have lunch in Fort Portal and continue to our destination, not forgetting to experience Kikorongo Equator Monument
Day 7: Game drive and boat cruise
- Go for an early morning game drive after breakfast to experience more wildlife in abundance, like buffaloes, antelopes, elephants, lions, birds and much more. Then visit Lake Katwe, the only lake with salt in Uganda. Learn how salt is formed and extracted using local methods and engage with the communities there.
- Return for lunch at the lodge, then go for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. It is a channel that joins Lake Edward and George. Appreciate the wildlife like birds, Nile crocodiles, hippos among others, it has the highest concentration of hippos. .
Day 8
- Check out of the hotel and head back to Kampala along Mbarara highwa, lunch en route. Retire from our adventure with a drop off at our hotel or the airport depending on the time of your flight.
