Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and pickup
On your arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be picked up by Calsaar safaris Uganda representative and he shall be your driver/guide, who will brief you about your safari and transfer you to your place of accommodation. Do a city tour in the afternoon and visit local sights depending on your time arrival.

Day 2: Transfer to Jinja
In the morning after your breakfast, you shall be transferred to Jinja, Uganda’s industrial city. You shall pass by griffin falls camp found in Mabira forest, the largest tropical rain forest in Uganda. At Griffin, you shall have your zip lining experience and lunch. After these you shall then continue to Jinja, for your fun filled water activities. You shall choose between water tubing and kayaking, you may also go Bungee Jumping at an added fee of 120$
When done your driver guide will transfer you to your accommodations, for dinner, refreshment and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Sipi Falls
After your morning breakfast you will be transferred to Sipi Falls, Cross the mighty Nile in Jinja and continue through a landscape of farmland. The aim is to reach Rafiki Lodge Sipi/Sipi River Lodge/Sipi Falls Lodge that is close to Sipi Falls for lunch. Enjoy lunch with a stunning view. In the afternoon go for a guided village walk and see how the locally grown Arabica coffee is processed from farm to cup.

Day 4: Abseiling Sipi falls and Transfer to Pian Upe
Early in the morning after your breakfast, go for abseiling on the Sipi falls. Just like hiking, Abseiling is quite the opposite, it involves descending down the slopes of steep rocks with a friction device and rope. This is also called ‘Rappelling’.
After the abseiling, head to the lodges for lunch and then prepare to travel to Pian Upe game reserve. The reserve is covered by wooded grassland. The wildlife attractions here include; leopards, Cheetahs, spotted hyenas, lions, Roan antelope, Mountain Red buck, the errand, bush bucks, water bucks, ostriches and birds like the rare shoe bill, clip springer and many other birds, vervet monkeys, olive baboons bur hell’s Zebra, buffalo, eland, Hartebeest, greater Kudu, Topi, Oribi, Dik-Dik and Uganda’s last population of roam antelope. Later you will check in at the lodge for a relaxed evening and dinner.

Day 5: Morning Nature walk and Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
Wake up early and head out for a nature walk through the plains of Pian Upe game reserve. You shall spot several animals and for birders the reserve is blessed with 242 confirmed bird species such as the ostrich, Abyssinian ground hornbill, and superb starling among several others. You will have a bush breakfast while feasting on the unique scenic views of the reserve. After your breakfast, head to your lodges, check out and travel to Kidepo national park and on arrival, check in and have a relaxed evening.

Day 6: Game drive in Kidepo and community walk
Depart in the morning after breakfast and carry with you packed lunch for game drive to the hot springs via the palm trees lined along Kidepo River, in search for Ostriches and leopards, tortoises along the way. After having our packed lunch we will stretch our legs on a guided nature walk through Karamoja villages for an exciting community encounter with the Karamajong pastoralists, relax and have time to enjoy the wildernesses overstay. Later get back to the lodge for a relaxed evening, refreshment and dinner.

Day 7: Transfer to Murchison falls top of the falls experience
After having breakfast, check out of your lodge and drive southwards to Murchison Falls National park, having a stopover in Masindi for lunch reaching the park late in afternoon. You head to the top of the falls for photography and videography after which you shall head to you lodges for a relaxed evening, refreshment and dinner.

Day 8: Game drive and boat trip to Murchison Falls
After an early breakfast, tour the Northern section of Murchison with a high concentration of savannah wildlife. Enjoy game viewing and photography of elephants, buffalos, waterbucks, giraffes, Uganda kobs and lions, the leopards (if you are lucky) plus a variety of bird species. Return to your accommodation for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will head out for the river cruise. This trip is said to be the highlight of the safari in Murchison falls since it allows you to get up close to the animal species within the water. Cruise past huge hippo schools, crocodiles, bathing buffalo, and numerous aquatic birds adorning the north bank on the way to the mighty waterfalls. You will have an opportunity to take thousands of pictures (and so carry your camera with you if possible). Also, proceed for a hike if time allows to the top of the falls. The hike is a strenuous one but the thrill on reaching the top is unforgettable. Return to your accommodation for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Nature walk and Transfer to Kibaale forest
Wake up early and have a nature/ bush walk through the park allowing you to spot any animal and bird species that you might have missed during your game drives. You shall have a bush breakfast and then transfer to Kibaale forest National Park. You will take pleasure in the gorgeous scenery of this countryside which makes the journey more exciting. Have your lunch en route in Fort portal town and continue as you will have great views of the Rwenzori ranges. Check in at your lodge. Later in the evening, you could go for a guided walk through the community depending on time of arrival to stretch from the road drive. You shall relax at your lodge, refresh wait for dinner and overnight stay

Day 10: Chimp tracking and community experience
After your breakfast, drive to the park’s headquarters for an early morning briefing where the experienced park rangers will tell you an elaborate benefit of tracking chimpanzees, the dos and don’ts, as well as verifying the tracking documents. After this assembly, a professional park ranger will guide you to the park for roughly 1-6 hours as you search for the giant apes that are busy feeding, playing and the mothers nursing their young ones.
The trek is simple and upon finding the creatures, you will have one hour to watch the creatures carry on with the daily activities uninterrupted. Drive to the lodge for lunch after which you will go to Bigodi community for a stroll through the community, supporting the locals craft shops and perhaps interacting and having a word with the village inhabitants.

Day11: Bigodi swamp and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Have Breakfast, and then head to Bigodi wetland. Have a Guided walk through the park with an experienced guide. This place is an important birding area and it is blessed with several primate and mammal species.
After the walk, you will head to your lodges, refresh and prepare to transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park, the most visited in Uganda with plenty of unlimited treasures hidden in all its corners. You can choose to either relax or have a brief guided nature walk in the evening before dinner and overnight

Day 12: Morning game drive and boat trip along Kazinga channel
As the sun rises, so do you but first with breakfast that will give you energy to carry on with the game drive activity in the wilderness, followed by the actual 3-4-hour game drive opportunity as you search for the different mammals such as hippos, elephants, leopards, giraffes, Antelopes, and many more not forgetting to glance at several tree and bird species roaming around the area as though they have a deadline to meet. You will return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise at Kazinga channel a home to several schools of hippos and a large selection of Nile crocodiles yarning and feeding by the lakeshore. Together with mammals and birds having a rest and relaxing giving you an open chance of taking as many photos as possible. After, return to your lodge and relax.

Day 13: Katwe salt mines and Cultural experience
Wake up early, have breakfast and transfer to Katwe salt mines where you shall be taken through the entire process of salt mining from lake to food by experienced and caring guides. Interact with the salt miners and get to hear what stories they have about the mining
Have packed lunch and head out for a cultural experience where you shall get to learn about the Banyabindi and Basonghola cultures.
Head to your lodges, refresh wait for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 14: Transfer to Bwindi forest and evening community walk
Have breakfast at the lodge, check out and transfer to Bwindi national park via the Ishasha sector famous for tree climbing lions and you shall get to spot them and take photos. You will have lunch en-route and continue with our journey to Bwindi, the home of the mountain gorillas. The journey takes us from the savanna via cultivated hills to the jungle covered mountains of Bwindi where you will have the great highlight of this 20-days Uganda Safari the next day. Check in to your lodge and relax or stretch from the long drive with a community walk accompanied by an experienced ranger guide.

Day 15: Mountain gorilla trekking and nature walk to the Batwa villages
Very early in the morning, you will pack all the tracking documents, put good hiking boots and full tracking combat then head to the park for a pre-trekking briefing that starts at 8:00 am. Join other colleagues in the same venture, the briefing session lasts for approximately 30 minutes after which you are allocated a gorilla family and a park ranger to lead you to the Jungle, where you will have either a lengthy or short tracking period depending on how far the apes have moved. This can be roughly 4 or more hours, with one separate hour given to you upon finding the creatures, to watch the giant silverback, mothers feeding their young ones, and the entire family play, fight and grumble with each other, only waiting for a silverback to come and settle the dispute.
Thereafter, you will have lunch, and then you will visit the Batwa community where you will visit the native villages and many more interesting places in the community as well as engaging in different dances, traditional songs before getting back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 16: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After your breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Have a free day to relax by beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. There is a short list of activities: canoeing, swimming (safe in this lake), hiking along the lake-shores, canoe ride along Lake Bunyonyi with small resident and exotic bird species singing. Day 17: Lake Bunyonyi experience
Have an early breakfast, and you continue to visit the Abaheesi and Batwa communities, interact with them; it is surely a good time spent here with these natives, enjoy various cultural performances. Have lunch at the resort and in the evening have a boat cruise on the lake where you will get chance to view various birds, beautiful landscape including some of the 29 islands. If you don’t go for a boat cruise you could opt for cycling around the area. Return to the lodge, have dinner and have an overnight.

Day 18: Transfer to Lake Mburo and nature walk
Have breakfast and set off to Lake Mburo NP with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. You will arrive in the early afternoon and take some rest before proceeding out for the late afternoon nature walk. On the nature walk, expect to see the gigantic eland antelopes, zebras, Topi, impalas, Uganda Kob and Cape buffalos among others. Later after the walk, relax at the accommodation where you will spend the night. Optional: In case you are interested, you may go out for the breathtaking Mburo night game drive (at an extra cost) expecting to sight nocturnal creatures including snakes, hyena, owls and the elusive leopard (on a lucky day) among others.

Day 19: Morning game drive and Ankole culture experience
Wake up early and have time to take a warm cup of tea before you head for a game drive through the park in search of game like the zebras, hippos, crocodiles, elands, antelopes, impalas and a variety of bird species. After you will return to your lodge for a heavy breakfast and then head for a nature walk with an experienced guide as you walk to the salt lick area which offers a chance to see at least four different species of animals. The walk shall take you to the Ankole community where you shall you’re your ultimate culture experience that involves engaging in the day to day activities of these people. You might be amazed with how many products they are able to make from milk and in local ways.
You will then return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 20: Mburo park (bush) walk and transfer to Kampala or Entebbe Airport for your flight out
Enjoy your early breakfast and proceed for the Mburo morning park (bush) walk in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger/guide. On this early morning guided walk; you will have the opportunity to encounter (at close range): Zebras, Giraffes and Eland, Topi and other antelope, Cape buffaloes among others.
Take the Trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and beyond. From this vantage point, you will have a great view of 9 of the twelve lakes surrounding Lake Mburo NP. Thereafter, return to the accommodation for checkout and then hit the road to Entebbe airport for your flight out via the Equator line where you will have a chance to do photography.
